Trip Briefing

Well, Friday we had our trip briefing with Julie. She went over everything from the beginning of the trip to the end. We found out that Gacheta is only an hour away instead of the 2-3 hour drive we were originally told we would have to take. YEAH! We will be staying at El Refugio our entire time there. Julie gave us some great advice about what to do and not do. She also told us what we really need to take and how much money things will be. THe whole conversation took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. When we were done, I was so excited that I wanted to get on a plane right then and there. Only 2 weeks to go!

We finally had our yard sale. We decided to set up at the local flea market which turned out to better than we originally thought. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we got rid of just about everything. What was left, we dropped off for Good Will.

We still haven't received our visas yet. We just got the necessary paperwork back and sent it out on Thursday. The guy I spoke with at the Colombian Consulate's office said it would only take 3 days so if this is true, we should have them back by the end of next week. I will be relieved when they are back because without them, we can't do anything.
