Tiff's 12th Birthday!

Tiffany had a choice of what she wanted to do for her 12th b-day. Well, she decided she wanted to go somewhere for the weekend. We went to Oklahoma City which is only 2 hours away from here. We went to the science museum, the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial, the mall and ate at Toby Keith's restuarant. We had a really good time. I was actually hoping she would want to have a sleep over cause that would have been cheaper but I am glad we went on our trip instead. We really had great family time together.

Our dog Angel doesn't get very much people food but we now know, she likes icing. Angel was licking the icing off of Tiffany's nose. How gross!!!!!!!!!

Car Wash Fundraiser

On Sept 8th, 2007 we had a car wash to help raise money for the adoption. We had a group of wonderful friends who helped make it possible. In four hours, we raised $374.64!

More News

We received more news today. Some of the adoption fees have gone up. Due to some changes in the law, we now have to have 4 post-placement visits instead of 3. We had to pay for these upfront. At $350.00 a visit, they aren't cheap. On top of that, we have to pay an additional $160.00 for the translation of the 4 post visits. Also, the visa at the US Consulates went up an additional $20.00. But you know, the Lord has seen us through so far so I know He will not let us down and He will show us the way. Nothing will come between us and our son.

We got our APPROVAL!

WE WERE OFFICIALLY APPROVED! Our paperwork was approved Dec 20th but we just now got the word. Julie from CHI (our adoption agency) sent us an e-mail informing us of the Colombian decision to allow us to adopt a 7 year old child. Looks like we will be a family of four before you know it. 2008 is going to be a great year!
